An Australia-wide marketplace where women hire designer dresses and accessories for a fraction of retail, and lend their own wardrobes to earn. A freelance project, built end to end for a fashion-rental founder.
What I did
- Built a two-sided rental marketplace where lenders list pieces and renters hire them, with more than 10,000 designer styles on offer.
- Search and filtering by hire dates, designer, size, occasion and postcode, plus a local-pickup radius of 5 to 50 km for last-minute hires.
- A booking flow where renters pick dates, choose delivery or local pickup and check out, with the request sent to the lender and direct messaging between both sides.
- Lender tools to create an account, upload photos, set their own rental price, accept bookings and get paid automatically 72 hours after the hire ends, with optional lender insurance.
- Australia-wide express delivery with prepaid return satchels, returns through Australia Post and review emails sent after each hire.
- Location and occasion landing pages for Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, weddings, black tie and more, with social sharing previews and ad tracking for marketing.
- Charity pledge built into every hire: $1 donated to Dress For Success.
